Roger A. Orsini, M.D. is an experienced and respected plastic surgeon, leader and entrepreneur. Dr. Orsini has been in solo practice in Easton, Maryland since 1985 and is owner of Shore Aesthetic and Reconstructive Associates. He is also a highly respected bank director and is one of the founders and original members of the board of directors of Easton Bank and Trust, a privately owned Subchapter S Corporation. Dr. Orsini has served on numerous corporate and non-corporate boards including, most recently the Integrated Medicine Board, where he also serves as the Medical Advisor. As Chairman of the Board, he and the Director took an innovative alternative healthcare delivery system from huge debt in the neighborhood of hundreds of thousands of dollars to its present state, as one of the only profitable integrative medicine programs in the country.

He serves on numerous committees, both in the banking business and healthcare sectors, most recently, as a member of the Audit Committee and Co-Chairman of the Technology Committee of the Easton Bank and Trust. Dr. Orsini has also served on the Exhibits, Research Grants and the Device and Technique Assessment Committees for the national American Association of Plastic Surgeons for the last 10 years. He was the Head/Chief of the Department of Surgery at the Memorial Hospital in Easton, Maryland and served on the Executive Hospital Committee at the Memorial Hospital. He has also served as a consultant to the Ethicon Corporation Research and Development Division and assisted in developing new product ideas in plastic and reconstructive surgery.

Dr. Orsini enjoys teaching on various levels from seminars to the local community, national instructional courses and national seminars on Cleft Lip and Palate surgery of which his is a leader in the field. He developed and directed the multi-disciplinary Eastern Shore Cleft Lip and Palate Clinic serving the Delmarva Peninsula. He has also been involved in teaching in public and private middle and high schools and has been a guest lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Recently after completing his Masters of Business Administration in the Johns Hopkins University Carey School of Business, Dr. Orsini has become an adjunct professor in the business program. He is presently developing a course teaching Corporate Governance to the MBA students as well as providing seminars for the corporate world.

Dr. Orsini takes pride in providing the highest quality of care to his patients now and for the last 30 years as well as volunteering on various levels from community skin cancer screening clinics, and providing care to cleft lip and cleft palate patients. He was a member of a four physician team of Operation Second Chance providing medical and surgical care in Croatia, Serbia and Bosnia treating war injuries and congenital malformations and lecturing to the medical community and acting as healthcare ambassador. His team was featured on 60 minutes. He has also served on the Maryland Governor’s Council on Healthcare Delivery.
Dr. Orsini received his Bachelor of Science degree from Georgetown University with advanced studies in Neurophysiology in the University of Connecticut Master’s Program. He went on to complete his Doctor of Medicine at the Medical College of Pennsylvania.

He then completed his General Surgical training at the Thomas Jefferson Hospital and then his Fellowship in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania. He was recently awarded the Faculty Student of the Year completing his Master of Business Administration at the Johns Hopkins Carey School of Business.

Dr. Orsini has contributed numerous scientific and review articles the most recent in the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery a Safety and Efficacy Report.

Recently, Dr. Orsini joined Sage-Growth Consulting Group as Executive Advisor and Consultant. His interests run the gamut from medical administrative issues, healthcare delivery, electronic medical records, and the use of RFIDs in drug delivery and patient care, as well as corporate governance and corporate board organization and compliance.
